“The Sonorous Jungle”

from "Excursions" by ddb

/

about

After some contemplation I decided to leave the group and strike out on my own. My farewell was marked with many smiles and salutations, and by Yaenil's direction the packs were furnished anew. Now I find I must sustain the excursion alone. It was doubt in Yaenil that forced my hand, for a few small words were spicate and vile. We'd been amassing a lot of bad blood and we'd shared this dread all about the tiny cargo vessel. What more, is that I can't get the hang of the cacophonic cantanta as it soars through the heights of the jungle labyrinth. I remember the first lost group, they walked down too far for me to sleep one night, and the hymns they hummed softly slithering through many twilights after.
