“The Grotto beneath the Adnuck Volcano”

from "Excursions" by ddb

/

about

With the thanks of the Gbainyot Guards for this great find, we have learned that there is a cave system that runs underneath the dormant Adnuck Volcano. We could investigate without traveling a very long distance (which is conducive in such a lonesome area) There is a chance that the main grotto may already be somewhat flooded, but the ceilings are high enough that we may use canoes to pass through. The land under the volcano is mostly dominated by cemented husks. We find it useful to recognize the places by some secret signal known only to those fluent in Tiçuen. And as the bones divined, remarkable cavorting fools outwit us, stealing our find, but with the same expression as if their body prostrated broad & flat. Venturing afterward to the Gbainyot Tavern with despondence in our eyes. It is entirely possible for someone to be caught in one of these flooded caves after wandering around for a while, and think they have escaped when they have not.
