We got stuck up on the Ryź Pass near the strange Ael'ti Peaks. Getting stuck in this area usually has nothing to do with weather, but one's own constitution. We were staying out in the bare expanse, away from the rest in our own tent. Our tent was located in a direct line between the summit and the Ryź Pass. The last thing we could do was stand near the apex or down on the path of descent. People started veering away from the group for no reason. It feels like you can't remember what you are going to do. It feels like everything is all running together. A hard reset/start over for the brain. A consignment to oblivion. The only things that can save you from this dissociative peril are unusually strong convictions or just blind dumb luck (if you happen to wander your way back to safety.) Anyhow, we managed to get at least one poor stranded worker back to our tent. This hinders up closer to the reason for Suba's nervous energy back down in the town of Scaiden. His eyes widened in enmity at the mere thought, but also a subtler affect which we often thought we could trace amidst the sparse fungous looking down at us from above. We recently noticed that he disliked the smell of the early days up there.
