“Charting the pits of Alɟaʋeth”

from "Excursions" by ddb

about

We are now starting to find Beallan Wood woven into the smooth sides in the pits of Alɟaʋeth. This is odd because The Baellan Tree grows in the forests where the name "Alɟaʋeth" originally came from, mostly in the Southern Vortex. The Baellan Trees there grow in five lines in roughly that will often form the Alɟaʋeth rune shape of transformation, mental clarity and cunning. The keen cartographer we have brings us good fortune! He carries baby armadillos around in his hollow eyes as he straightens out the turns. When we visited the church in town, we were glad to see enough 'iepiupu teogi' to proceed door-ward. "There was something else worth mentioning..." Looking past us, diving into deep memory, "I don't remember falling in the pit," she said....
