A Ghost, A Girl, and a Tree

from Summer 2007 by ddb

lyrics

it's a great invention but we're underfed
gather, gather people alone
and then erupt a crypt
yeah, follow the ghost.
give 'em an inch, he's gonna make a mile
take the frown and just make up any old smile

these people roam the town
in search of friends that might never be found
on a canvas spread that will wash you down
I ain't filling out your forms, I ain't playin' anymore
you know that it's time to exit through the door.

A basic ending with some holding grit.
enter at the point of a ghost, but never polish in.
it's always a joke.
even the best have got the "wild runs wild",
everything else is underneath a corporate pile.

she activates the sound.
It occurs to her that she wouldn't get out.
this is the plan that would make it all about.
All the things she wanted from, all the things she wouldn't give, all the things that make her exactly who she is.

.....

I will break a speech to help you
make it part of something that I do
all the trains are slowly going home

taking lessons on depending
on the sacred never-ending
rhythm of your breathing in & out.

faking has no other ending
why don't you just think of dancing
why don't we just take the talking out

Jumpstart all the cars in vegas
let them all come on, invade us.
shake the bugs out, climb a taller tree.
shake the bugs out, climb a taller tree.
shake the bugs out, climb a taller tree.
shake the bugs out, climb a taller tree.
